Hannibal season 2 UK air date announced

Hannibal season 2 has been given a UK air date.

Sky Living has announced that the horror drama will return to screens on May 6.

Series 2 of the NBC show premiered in February in the US, with showrunner Bryan Fuller promising that this run will “strike new territory”.

Fuller commented that the second season would have “a completely different flavour and structure and style of storytelling” than its first run.

“We shift everything so dramatically that it keeps the audience on their toes because they now don’t know what to expect,” he added.

Eddie Izzard – who starred as psychopathic killer Abel Gideon in two episodes of the show’s debut series – confirmed to Digital Spy last year that he would return for season two, while Sex and the City star Cynthia Nixon will also appear in a recurring role.
