Justin Bieber hits out at critics on Twitter
Justin Bieber has hit out at the press after numerous reports slated the teen star for being two hours late for his O2 concert on Monday night.
Bieber caused outrage when he took to the stage at 1030pm instead of the 830pm he was scheduled for.
Young fans were left in tears as they either had to wait patiently for their idol to appear or leave before catching a glimpse of the star in order to catch public transport home.
There were reports this week that Bieber could face a fine of £300,000 for his London gig running 30 minutes past its 11pm curfew at the O2 Arena on Monday, although that has since been disputed by the local council.
Bieber has also been accused of spending less than ten seconds with the winner of a local contest and denying her a hug because he was running two hours late for his show.
The 19-year-old singer responded on Twitter yesterday (March 6) by strenuously denying that he acted inappropriately at Monday’s London show.
Bieber tweeted: “Rumours rumours and more rumours. nothing more nothing less. might talk about them 1 day. rt now im just gonna be positive. cant bring me down. im focused on the good things in life. im blessed and not forgetting it. im giving back every day for it. cant phase me.
“Fake stories to sell papers i guess are part of the job. but im a good person. i know that. u cant tell me different. we know the truth. as long as my family, friends, and fans r with me u can say whatever. we are all equal in God’s eyes & we have a responsibility to eachother.”
The 19-year-old popstar continued with a direct message to the press: “Make up stories about fake fines and make no mention of the positive…. or say when i came out of my show with my shirt off because after performing for 2 hours i might be sweaty i was going into a club (really?)
“i understand it is part of the job to be judged…but judge me on the facts, judge me on the music, and be careful of the judgement u pass but know this…im only judged by one power, and i serve him.”
Bieber concluded: “So yeah I will continue being me. i will continue to serve, to perform, to care, to love, to smile, to dance, to play, to sing… and u are welcome to join, because i carry no hate. We got to much love for that. Im about the music.”
The ‘Boyfriend’ singer is scheduled to take the stage again at the O2 Arena in London on Thursday (March 7) and Friday (March 8)
