Justin Timberlake and The Killers to headline V Festival 2014

Justin Timberlake and The Killers will headline this year’s V Festival.

JT and The Killers will play alternate days in Chelmsford and Staffordshire on August 16 and 17.

It is Timberlake’s first appearance at the festival, while The Killers return two years after they co-headlined with The Stone Roses in 2012.

Ed Sheeran, Paolo Nutini, Example, Lily Allen and Bastille will also take to the stage at this year’s festival, while Chic and Nile Rodgers will appear as special guests.

Other acts announced include Rudimental, Elbow, Chase & Status, Kaiser Chiefs, Tom Odell and Sub Focus.

Foxes will make her first appearance at the festival, with Blondie, Jason Derulo, Rizzle Kicks and All Saints also scheduled to appear.

Before his appearance at V Festival, Timberlake will embark on a UK tour. The star is bringing his ’20/20 Experience World Tour’ to Sheffield, Glasgow, Manchester, London and Birmingham in March and April.
