Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are engaged

Kanye West has proposed to girlfriend Kim Kardashian.

The 36-year-old rapper proposed to the reality star yesterday, on what was her 33rd birthday, by renting out the entire AT&T Park baseball stadium in San Francisco, popping the question in front of their family and friends, reports E!. 

Kim and Kanye reportedly went their separate ways earlier in the day as Kanye was in Los Angeles at the Hollywood Film Awards, and Kim was spotted boarding a private jet that afternoon with her family in Los Angeles.

However it would seem Kanye just couldn’t stay away from his baby momma and dashed to be by her side on her special day, with a little surprise of his own.

After asking Kim’s mother Kris Jenner for her blessing, Kanye popped the question with a 15-carat Lorraine Schwartz ring.

He was joined by a 50-piece orchestra – who played both Lana Del Rey’s ‘Young and Beautiful’ and Keri Hilson, Ne-Yo and Kanye’s ‘Knock You Down’ – and the message “PLEEEASE MARRY MEEE!!!” flashed up on the big screen.

After Kim said yes, fireworks exploded in the sky and her close friends and family ran onto the field after hiding in the dugout.

While the family has remained relatively quiet on social media since the event, Kim’s sister Khloe Kardashian took to her Twitter page to write: “Wow!!!!! Am I dreaming??!?!”

She added: “Tears of JOY!!!!!!! Wow!!!!!!”

The couple have been together since April 2012 and welcomed their first child, baby North West, in June this year.

The wedding will be Kim’s third marriage but will be Kanye’s first trip down the isle.
