Kiefer Sutherland confirms date 24 movie starts shooting
Kiefer Sutherland has confirmed that the long-awaited 24 movie will enter production in approximately eight months’ time.
The Touch star told David Letterman on The Late Show that he originally hoped to shoot the project in the next six weeks but scheduling conflicts stood in the way.
“It was very difficult for us to get a script in order. We had done 200 episodes of the show, and to try and create some kind of finale in a two-hour film was difficult, but we’ve finally gotten that in order and now we’re juggling schedules,” he said.
“That is what we’re going to do now in about eight months. I was hoping to be able to do it in about six weeks, which is not very reasonable at all.”
Sutherland previously described the 24 film as a “direct continuation” of the television series. Executive producer Howard Gordon confirmed in November 2010 that Mary Lynn Rajskub will appear in the proposed film as Chloe O’Brian, but no other supporting cast has been announced.
