Kim Kardashian dumps family publicist
Kanye West has reportedly advised girlfriend Kim Kardashian to dump her family publicist and branch out on her own.
The Keeping up with the Kardashians star has signed on with a new publicist “on the advice of Kanye West” leaving longtime representative Jill Fritzo to deal with the family’s drama, reports the New York Post.
Her new representative is Ina Treciokas, who co-founded Slate PR and is also employed by Sarah Jessica Parker, Woody Harrelson, Owen Wilson, Liev Shreiber and Jennifer Aniston’s fiancé Justin Theroux.
“Kim wants to set herself apart from the Kardashian PR machine, and Kanye West advised her to build her own team,” a source told the newspaper.
Last year, Fritzo, from the firm PMK*BNC, was ranked at number 18 on Business Insider’s list of Hollywood’s most powerful publicists.
However, Kim’s replacement Treciokas came in fifth place on that same list.
