Kim Kardashian ‘staged Kris Humphries proposal’

Kim Kardashian has been accused of staging her marriage proposal from ex-husband Kris Humphries.

The basketball star popped the question during filming of Keeping Up With The Kardashians last May and footage of the big moment featured in a later episode of the show.

The couple went on to televise their August 21 wedding ceremony, before Kardashian filed for divorce just 72 days later.

Despite her claim to have been “shocked” by the presence of cameras at the proposal, sources have now alleged that Kardashian vetoed Humphries’s plans for the romantic gesture and came up with the idea to have his intentions spelt out in rose petals.

“Kim told Kris how, where and when to propose, it was absolutely no surprise to her whatsoever,” the Daily Mail quotes insiders as saying. “First of all, Kris proposed in the middle of the day, and he had to do that because it would create better lighting to capture the moment.

“Kim looked so surprised but she knew it was happening. She was in full hair and make-up, as she always is on the show. Kris wanted it to be very intimate and romantic, but all of his ideas were shot down by production officials and Kim.

“Kim told him the paparazzi would ruin the special moment if it were to take place in a public setting, like the beach, which he had also considered. How romantic could it be with three camera crews?”

In the wake of her divorce, Kardashian has also been forced to deny persistent rumours that the entire marriage was fake.
