La La Anthony denies Carmelo Anthony split
La La Anthony has shot down rumours of marriage trouble between her and her NBA husband Carmelo Anthony.
The actress stopped by Access Hollywood to clear up rumours about her marriage, following a series of tabloid articles alluding to a split.
“Everything is wonderful in the Anthony household,” said La La.
“We’ve been together for 10 years. If anyone says you don’t go through ups and downs in 10 years, they’re lying.”
She continued: “We’re in a real relationship – we have our ups, we have our downs, but we definitely work through them and we’re doing great right now.”
La La went on to acknowledge that she and Carmelo have gone through “hard times”, but stressed that their marriage is now as solid as ever.
“The downs are having two intense careers and remembering to put the marriage first, and remembering to work as hard in the marriage as we do in our careers, and being parents and everything else,” she said.
“The highs are – he’s my best friend. We get through the hard times because we know that we want this marriage to work.”
