Lamar Odom avoids prosecution after agreeing to anger management

Lamar Odom has avoided prosecution after agreeing to anger management.

The deal comes after the NBA star walked up to a photographer’s car and threw all of his equipment out onto the road.

In a deal worked out on Tuesday, he will sign up for an anger management course and pay to repair the damage to the photographers equipment.

According to TMZ the agreement is only valid as long as Lamar stays out of trouble with the law.

Should he re-offend within the year he will face criminal charge for vandalism over the July incident.

Odom, the husband of Keeping up with the Kardashians star Khloe Kardashian, attended a private, informal hearing with the L.A. City Attorney’s office on Monday, reports E! News.

The city decided against pressing charges in relation to the incident, LA City spokesperson Frank Matelijan tells the gossip site, but that doesn’t mean Odom got off scot-free. He was allegedly “admonished” for the tussle, and city officials “advised him on how to go forward.”

Details on this advice are not publicly available, though sources told TMZ that the 33-year-old basketball star agreed to anger management counseling.

The altercation in question was on July 10, shortly after rumors of  Lamar’s alleged cheating and drug abuse were made public.
