Martin Scorsese reveals all his movies will now be 3D
Martin Scorsese has revealed that he plans to make all his future movies in 3D.
The filmmaker, who shot his first 3-D film Hugo last year, said that he believes the format is superior to 2D films.
Scorsese told audience members at CinemaCon: “I would have practically done all my films in 3D… There is something that 3D gives to the picture that takes you into another land and you stay there and it’s a good place to be”.
“It’s like seeing a moving sculpture of the actor,” the 69-year-old director added during the convention. “It’s almost like a combination of theater and film combined and it immerses you in the story more. I saw audiences care about the people more.”
Scorsese’s next film Wolf of Wall Street will reunite him with The Aviator and Gangs of New Yorkstar Leonardo DiCaprio.
