Matt Cardle hits back at James Arthur

Matt Cardle has hit back at rival X Factor star James Arthur’s latest attack.

Matt defended himself by describing James as a “deeply unpleasant” man.

Arthur’s recent comments about Cardle have included describing his material as “music for bedwetters” and claiming that Cardle would send his fans to sleep if he hired him as a support act.

During an interview on Gaydio‘s Breakfast Show, Cardle responded to the jibe, saying that he “couldn’t care less” what Arthur said about him.

“I’m not going to put an end to this once and for all. I don’t think there is going to be an end to this,” said Cardle.

“The guy is deeply unpleasant from what I can gather. He has ripped into me in the past. He has been ripping me for about a year now. We had crossed words a year ago, he hasn’t dropped it.

“The guy’s ego is off the scale and that’s all I’ll say about him. I have nothing else to say about James Arthur.”

Cardle won the seventh series of X Factor and is releasing his third album Porcelain later this year.

Arthur’s self-titled debut album being released on November 4.
