Miley Cyrus documentary gets UK airdate

Miley Cyrus’ documentary has been given a UK airdate.

Miley: The Movement will screen on MTV on Thursday, October 3 at 8pm, a day after it airs in the US.

“Taking you on a whirlwind journey, MTV has been on the road with the pop princess turned punk star for the last four months to reveal the real Miley and what has driven her recent transformation,” said the channel.

“From her headline-grabbing performance with Robin Thicke at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards to her bare-all music video for new single ‘Wrecking Ball’, the intimate documentary will cover it all with MTV’s unmatched access to the magnetic and unapologetically controversial artist.”

“I want all my fans to come with me; to the studio, on the road, at performances,” Cyrus told MTV. “There’s going to be a lot of ups and downs, and it’s going to be completely insane. You’ve gotta be a part of the movement with me.”

Cyrus discusses her infamous MTV VMAs performance in the documentary, confessing that she wanted to “make history”.

Her new album Bangerz will be released in the UK on October 7, and a day later in the US.
