Muhammad Ali in good health confirms publicist

Muhammad Ali is reportedly in good health, according to his publicist, despite recent reports in the Sun.

Ali’s brother Rahman, told the paper his brother was seriously ill while speaking in a recent interview.

“My brother can’t speak – he doesn’t recognise me. He’s in a bad way. He’s very sick,” Rahman Ali was quoted as saying.

“It could be months, it could be days. I don’t know if he’ll last the summer. He’s in God’s hands. We hope he gently passes away.”

Muhammad Ali’s rep Bob Gunnell has since issued a statement denying the reports, sharing a picture of the Olympic gold medal winner and former world heavyweight champion at home in Phoenix.

He was seen in the picture watching the Super Bowl, with Gunnell confirming that he is rooting for the Baltimore Ravens.

Muhammad Ali’s daughter Maryum ‘May May’ Ali also toldĀ CBS News: “He’s fine, in fact he was talking well this morning.

“These rumours pop up every once in a while, but there’s nothing to them.”
