NBA Round Up: Brooklyn Nets force game six in play-offs against Chicago Bulls

 

Brooklyn Nets kept their Eastern Conference fight alive last night with an impressive 110-91 victory in game fiveĀ against Chicago Bulls.

Brook Lopez led the Nets with 28 points and 10 rebounds, and Deron Williams adding 23 points and 10 assists as they trimmed the series deficit to 3-2.

The Bulls had hit back from 14 points down in the final quarter to win game four after three periods of overtime, but the Nets ensured there would be no repeat as they outscored Chicago 33-18 in the last period.

Nate Robinson scored 20 points and Jimmy Butler added 18 for the Bulls, who trailed by only one point with eight minutes to play when Marco Belinelli’s three-pointer ignited a strong finish from Brooklyn, who went on a 15-1 run to force a game six in Chicago on Thursday.

Meanwhile, Houston avoided a series sweep at the hands of Oklahoma City in their Western Conference showdown as they battled to a 105-103 victory in game four.

Chandler Parsons starred for the Rockets with 27 points and 10 rebounds, while Omer Asik added 17 points and 14 boards.

The Thunder had two chances to tie in the final seconds, but Reggie Jackson and Serge Ibaka were both off target as time expired.

Atlanta levelled their series against Indiana at 2-2 as Josh Smith poured in 29 points and pulled down 11 rebounds in a comfortable 102-91 victory.

Kyle Korver stepped off the bench to nail five three-pointers for the Hawks, and Paul George replied with 21 points as Pacers managed only 38.1% shooting from the field.
