NFL: Texans too strong for the Titans

Houston Texans maintained their perfect start to the season with a comfortable 38-14 win over the Tennessee Titans yesterday.

Texans quarterback Matt Schaub threw for 202 yards, including two touchdown passes, while running back Arian Foster also got into the end zone.

James Casey’s 11-yard pass opened the scoring with Foster’s four-yard run giving the home side a 14-0 advantage.

Matt Hasselbeck hit Craig Stevens to reduce the arrears, but Danieal Manning’s 55-yard interception return and Owen Daniels’ 28-yard reception ended hopes of a comeback.

Shayne Graham’s field goal extended their advantage before another interception return, this time from Kareem Jackson, settled the contest.

The Titans (1-3) finished the scoring in the fourth quarter when Hasselbeck found wide receiver Kendall Wright, but it was nothing more than a consolation.
