Noel Gallagher interviews Mario Balotelli
Noel Gallagher has interviewed Manchester City’s Mario Balotelli for the BBC.
The former Oasis star was granted a rare opportunity to speak to the footballer for Football Focus, which will air at 12.15pm on Saturday (March 10).
In a preview clip, Gallagher is seen asking about Man City boss Roberto Mancini’s claims that Balotelli needs to mature.
The footballer responds: “If Mancini says something, he’s right. But I’m 21, so I’m still young. I think from last year, already I’m bigger (older) in my head.”
Gallagher later asks: “It is said you are a shy, retiring young lad. Do you like to keep yourself to yourself?”
Balotelli replies: “Yes, I don’t like it when people talk about my business or my life. I’m really private. So, maybe some people think I’m arrogant, but it’s just me.”
The Italian striker has been involved in a number of controversial incidents in recent years, including being fined a week’s wages after breaking a curfew ahead of a City game and cheekiskhly attempting a backheel in a pre-season friendly against LA Galaxy.
