One Direction cause chaos in Toronto
One Direction have forced Canadian officials to shut off a street in Toronto due to their fans.
The boyband made a recent appearance on Much Music and were greeted by thousands of screaming fans outside the television studios.
Authorities in Toronto had to close off the street as multitudes of girls lined the pavements to catch a glimpse of the five-piece with banners.
As they stepped out onto Much Music‘s stage in the street, a pink bra was thrown at band member Louis Tomlinson, with which he quipped: “I don’t think it will fit.”
The group were visiting the city as the support act for Big Time Rush’s North American tour.
Their debut single ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ has so far peaked at number nine on the Canadian chart, with their first album Up All Night due to be released on March 13.
One Direction have so far topped album charts in Italy, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Sweden, and have reached the Top 10 in Australia, Spain, Portugal, Finland, Belgium and the UK.
