One Direction, Usher, Jack White for iTunes Festival 2012

One Direction and Usher are among the first acts confirmed for this year’s iTunes Festival.

A different act will perform on every night throughout September at the Roundhouse in Camden, London.

Usher will open this year’s event on September 1, while One Direction will take to the stage on September 20.

Jack White will perform on September 8, with Norah Jones also confirmed for September 10.

Usher said in a statement: “I am thrilled to jump-start the iTunes Festival in London this year. I am honoured to set the stage for what’s to come.”

One Direction’s Harry Styles added: “We’re so happy to be playing at the iTunes Festival this year.

“Every year we see some of our favourite bands and artists on the bill, so to be part of the line up this year is obviously incredibly exciting and we’re hugely grateful for the opportunity. We can’t wait to see our fans at the festival.”

Tickets will be available for free for competition winners, and can be applied for on the festival website.
