It has been revealed that One Direction will be returning to the X Factor to perform on the live studio finals.

The boyband will be one of a reported seven X Factor acts to return to the show with performances from 2010 winner Matt Cardle expected alongside Olly Murs, Cher Lloyd, Rebecca Ferguson, Joe McElderry and Leona Lewis.

“Simon is keen to show X Factor comes up with credible artists. If there’s no room for other artists, tough.” a source told The Sun.

It is also claimed that all three of the musical judges could perform on the same show with Gary Barlow’s Take That, Kelly Rowlad and a solo Tulisa all tipped to do their thing.
