Oscar Pistorius throws up in court again as pictures of Reeva Steenkamp’s body shown by mistake

Oscar Pistorius has been sick in court for the second time after graphic pictures of his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp’s body were shown by mistake.

The Paralympian began coughing and retching when an image of Reeva’s body was shown for a fraction of a second amid other pictures of his bathroom and blood-stained prosthetic legs.

The picture led to loud gasps in the courtroom and to Pistorius throwing up into a bucket beside him.

Friends and family of Ms Steenkamp, who was shot dead in Pistorius’s bathroom on Valentine’s Day last year aged, had already left court in tears after the bathroom pictures were shown.

Pistorius, who denies murder on the grounds that he had mistaken Ms Steenkamp for an intruder, threw up in court earlier this week when he heard graphic detail about her autopsy.

If convicted he will face a minimum 25-year sentence.

In court today defence counsel Barry Roux is cross-examining forensic analyst Lt Col Johannes Vermuelen in the second week of the trial.
