Oscars 2013: Adele takes home the Oscar for Skyfall

Adele struggled to hold back tears last night as she was awarded her very first Oscar for Bond tune, Skyfall.

The British singer has already scooped a Golden Globe and a Grammy this year – taking her award tally to a whopping 105 awards.

Adele looked shocked as her name was announced as winner of the Best Original Song Oscar for Skyfall at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

The 24-year-old was clearly overwhelmed as she struggled to hold back tears as she accepted the award with her co-writer Paul Epworth.

The Grammy winner, who sang the James Bond theme at the ceremony earlier in the evening, said: “Thank you so much. This is amazing.”

Dressed in a floor-length embellished black Jenny Packham gown, Adele also paid tribute to her management team.

She then became emotional and quickly thanked her charity worker beau Simon Konecki, who was her date for the evening and gave her a quick kiss after her name was announced.

She said: “And my man, I love you baby.”

Before leaving the stage, the singer gestured at the star-studded crowd and shouted: “You’re all amazing as well.”
