Oscars 2013: Jennifer Lawrence takes a tumble as she accepts Best Actress Oscar
Jennifer Lawrence was so excited at being awarded the Oscar for Best Actress in a Lead Role that she tripped up the steps on her way to collect her award.
After being congratulated by her co-star Bradley Cooper, Jennifer made her way excitedly to the stage, however as she took her first step, down she went, tripping on her long Dior Haute Couture gown.
The blushing actress, took a second and resumed her composure, receiving a standing ovation, much to her embarrassment.
“Thank you so much,” she told them.
“This is nuts. You guys are only standing up because I fell and you feel bad. That was embarrassing.”
Speaking backstage after the incident, Jennifer said: “What went through my mind when I fell down? A bad word that I can’t say.”
