Prince Harry jokes about naked scandal

Prince Harry joked about his naked picture scandal during his first public appearance yesterday.

The royal attended the WellChild Awards in London as part of his role as Patron of the charity, which supports terminally and critically ill children in the UK.

Speaking at a London awards ceremony, Harry conceded it would be difficult to adequately describe their achievements.

“But never one to be shy in coming forward, I’ll give it a go,” he said to laughs from the audience.

However, the prince acted swiftly to ensure a six-year-old boy, who earlier threatened to embarrass the royal, behaved himself.

Harry lightheartedly wagged his finger at 6-year-old Alex Logan, who had earlier promised on ITV News that he’d say, “I’m glad you’ve got your clothes on Prince Harry!” upon meeting him.

Harry joked with him: “You keep looking up at your mum. It looks like you’re dying to say something but you’re worried she’ll tell you off.

“I heard you were on ITV earlier and you said something cheeky but let’s not talk about that here.”

Sources claimed that the Prince was worried the scandal would overshadow the charitable cause.
