Professor Green and Lily Allen slam journalist

Professor Green and Lily Allen have slammed a Sunday People journalist calling her disgusting and a whore.

Lily Rose Cooper – previously known as Lily Allen – vented her anger at Sunday People journalist Katie Hind on Twitter, describing the pieces she wrote as “slanderous” and “disgusting”.

Cooper reacted after reading an article by Hind, which featured alleged quotes from last weekend’s Glastonbury Festival.

She tweeted: “Such a liar, I didn’t even go backstage at glasto. Certainly didn’t talk to this dude,” referring to Daily Star journalist James Ingham.

Of Hind, she added: “And another one. ‘She told me’. I doubt it, I could hardly talk all weekend,” before Hind responded to her claims.

“Lily told me this when she was at the Groucho club. I didn’t say it was at Glastonbury,” Hind said of her article, which claimed that Cooper was attending a boot camp to lose her baby weight.

Denying she told Hind of her plans, Cooper wrote: “Also I didn’t start going to barrys boot camp till last Monday.”

Hind replied: “How would I know then? You told me you had started going there otherwise how would I have known?”

After she began receiving negative messages from Cooper’s followers, Hind said: “Thanks for setting your “trolls” on me, @lilyrosecooper!”

Professor Green got involved in the argument after responding to one of Cooper’s tweets, writing: “She practically printed my address – she’s a fat pig faced c**t of a no news wh*re.”

He continued: “I had my life and privacy put at risk by this woman and people have the cheek to defend her? what did i ever do to her? these scum bag showbiz journalists need a f**king wake up call.

“F**k The People and F**K @katiehind. I worked my arse off to make good of my life, only to have everything I’ve worked for put at risk by @thesundaypeople @katiehind. So now please explain to me why i shouldn’t be free to talk of this woman as i want, just like she has of me?”

He added: “It’s funny because a majority of journo’s aren’t malicious – shame there’s a few rotten apples. I love women, I was raised by two of the strongest I’ve ever known and I’m marrying the most incredible girl I’ve ever met.

“But this woman @katiehind wrote a disgusting article of which the tone was disgusting and belittling and basically gave away my address. I’ve worked my arse off to make good and to have all of that put in jeopardy by this woman for the sake of a piece of non-news is not okay.”

Green later apologised to Hind for calling her a “wh*re”, adding: “I was wrong calling you a wh*re, for that I apologise – but I stand by what a sad malicious tragic and vindictive woman you are.”

Professor Green has announced plans for a UK tour in November to support his latest album.
