Rihanna cancels second date on Diamonds World Tour

Rihanna was forced to cancel a second gig on her world tour after failing to recover from laryngitis.

The pop star had called off Sunday’s concert in Boston because of the illness and had hoped to return to the stage last night (Tuesday), however she has did not recover in time and had to cancel the Maryland show.

A radio station in Baltimore reported the news with a statement on its website announcing that the gig had been postponed.

The singer took to Twitter to share her upset at being too ill to perform at the weekend.

She wrote: “I hate disappointing people that never ever let me down!! I’m so embarrassed about this!

“Thank you for your prayers and well wishes.”

It is expected Rihanna will make a return to the stage on Thursday to perform in Philadelphia.
