Rihanna’s father gives his blessing for Chris Brown marriage

Rihanna’s father has reportedly said he would be “ecstatic” if Chris Brown married his daughter, as insiders claim that she is ready to have a baby with the R&B star.

Rihanna confirmed her reunion with Brown, who was convicted of assaulting her in 2009, last month.

Asked how he feels about the reconciliation, Rihanna’s 54-year-old father Ronald Fenty said that the couple “have [his] blessing” if they want to get married, adding that Brown is a man with “straight-up morals”.

“I would be ecstatic,” he told Now. “He’s a very old-fashioned kind of guy, with straight-up morals and he’s always been very decent to me.”

Rihanna fuelled rumours that she is engaged to Brown at the Grammys by wearing an apparent engagement ring, but sources close to the star believe the gesture is a sign that she is ready to have children, rather than walk down the aisle.

“It’s only a matter of time before she falls pregnant and she couldn’t give a damn what people say about it,” an insider told Reveal.

“Just two weeks ago she was telling a friend how she’s convinced if she was to become pregnant, Chris would put a ring on her finger.

“After showing off her diamond ring at the Grammys, it’s looking more likely that she will soon be expecting… it wouldn’t surprise any of her inner circle if she was already pregnant.”

Conversely, it has been suggested that Rihanna and Brown may have broken up at the Grammys due to a row over her texting ex-boyfriend Drake.
