Rita Ora admits she passed on Cheryl Cole song
Rita Ora has confessed that she passed on the chance to record Cheryl Cole’s new single.
The Girls Aloud star has teamed up with Calvin Harris for new song ‘Call My Name’, but Ora admitted that she was offered the track first but decided it wasn’t her style of music.
“I heard ‘Call My Name’ quite a while ago because I was offered it,” Ora is quoted by The Sun as saying.
“I turned it down. I do like the song but I didn’t want to sing it ‘cos it’s not really me. I don’t want to go down the dance route that a lot of other popstars are doing.
“I prefer to have my own sound and do my own thing.”
Ora reached number one in the UK earlier this year with ‘Hot Right Now’, a collaboration with DJ Fresh.
She will release her debut UK single ‘R.I.P.’ on May 7.
