Ryan Gosling is top runner for ‘Fifty Shades of Grey’ film says authors husband
Ryan Gosling is in the run to star in the Fifty Shades of Grey film, according to EL James’s husband.
The role of Christian Grey has been highly coveted in Hollywood, with Hollywood hotties Ian Somerhalder (Vampire Diaries), Chris Pine and Alexander Skarsgård (True Blood) also rumoured to be in the mix.
Author EL James’s husband Niall Leonard has given an update on the film to Now magazine, saying that “last [he] heard” Gosling is the most likely actor to play Christian Grey.
Leonard went on to say he was glad he himself did not inspire the creation of Christian Grey.
“I’m glad I’m not him because he’s actually damaged… I wouldn’t have liked to go through what he went through,” Leonard explained.
It was recently reported that American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis has been dropped from the list of contenders to write the Fifty Shades of Grey film.
