Sarah Harding shocked by Nadine Coyle’s claims about Girls Aloud split

Sarah Harding has admitted she was shocked by bandmate Nadine Coyle’s claims she tried to stop Girls Aloud from splitting.

Speaking for the first time, Sarah insisted she was “unaware” bandmate Nadine Coyle wanted the group to keep going.

After the five-piece announced they were splitting after the last gig on their reunion tour, Nadine took to Twitter to insist the split was the last thing she wanted.

Nadine's Twitter statement seemed to blame her bandmates for the split

Addressing Nadine’s statement, Sarah told the new issue of Look magazine: “I was unaware she even felt like that.

“At no point did she try and stop us, so you’d have to ask her why she did that. I have to respect her decision.”

Posing in a series of metallic styles for a shoot, the 31-year-old denied claims she and Cheryl Cole had sent Nadine angry text messages after the Twitter statement.

Going solo: Sarah is now planning to release some solo music

“No, that’s never happened. We all went to Manchester and had the after-party with our friends and family. Then we kind of hugged it out and just danced.

“Of course it worries me there are reports of fallouts between us, because it’s upsetting to our fans. We wouldn’t be where we are now without their loyalty.”
