Sarah Jessica Parker and Gerard Butler to host Nobel Peace Prize Concert
Sarah Jessica Parker and Gerard Butler have been announced as hosts for the 2012 Nobel Peace Prize Concert.
The Sex and the City actress and Scottish hunk, Butler, will honour this year’s Nobel Peace Prize recipient in Oslo, Norway on December 11.
“It’s such a privilege to be part of this year’s Nobel Peace Prize Concert,” said Sarah Jessica Parker.
“I am honored to be sharing the stage with such amazing performers to promote the power of peace around the world.”
“I’m deeply honored to have been asked to be a part of such a remarkable celebration of humanity,” said Gerard Butler.
“The European Union has shown the world what is possible when forces unite in peace. It’s a joy to stand alongside these magnificent artists and celebrate the EU and its contribution to world peace.
Parker and Butler follow on from previous Nobel Peace Prize Concert hosts Liam Neeson, Meryl Streep, Tom Cruise, Oprah Winfrey and last year’s presenters Helen Mirren and Rosario Dawson.
The European Union is receiving this year’s Nobel Peace Prize for promoting peace and human rights around the globe.
