Shia LaBeouf receiving treatment for alcohol addiction

Shia LaBeouf is reportedly receiving treatment for alcohol addiction.

The actor, who was arrested at a Broadway performance of Cabaret on June 26th after being accused of disruption, has however not checked into a rehab facility despite claims he had.

LaBeouf’s rep said in a statement to TMZ: “Contrary to previous erroneous reports, Shia LaBeouf has not checked into a rehabilitation facility but he is voluntarily receiving treatment for alcohol addiction.

“He understands that these recent actions are a symptom of a larger health problem and he has taken the first of many necessary steps towards recovery.

“There will be no further comments made at this time.”

The Fury actor was charged with two counts of disorderly conduct and one count of criminal trespassing, after smoking and using obscene language.

Shia is due in court on July 24.
