SPOTTED: United and City stars come out for NBA pre-season game in Manchester
The NBA came to Manchester last night and some of the Premier League’s biggest footballing stars where there to watch.
Rio Ferdinand, Patrick Vieira, David de Gea, Jack Rodwell and Adnan Januzaj were just some of the sports stars who showed up to Manchester Arena to watch Oklahoma City Thunder and the Philadelphia 76ers take part in an NBA pre season game.
In front of a 13,472 strong crowd, Kevin Durant – an Olympic gold medal winner in London last year – collected 21 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds as Oklahoma Thunder beat the 76ers 103-99.
Reggie Jackson led all scorers with 29 and Serge Ibaka added 18.
A host of Manchester’s footballing stars including United’s Darren Fletcher, City’s Jack Rodwell and Patrick Vieira, as well as basketball Paralympian Ade Adepitan, Stoke’s Maurice Edu, Hull City’s Tom Huddlestone and Fabrice Muamba all sat courtside.
