Suicide Squad has real life therapist on set
Suicide Squad director David Ayer has hired an on-set “therapist” for the cast members.
Adam Beach, who is playing Slipknot in the movie, told E! that Ayer “is about realism”.
“We kind of have, like, a therapist on board if you fall off the wagon and really are villainous,” Beach said of the “life coach”.
“There’s a friend of [David’s] that’s very unique in making sure we have our ground.”
He added: “Us actors explore very fine thin lines going to the dark side and he wants to make sure we finish a movie and don’t disappear somewhere and then don’t show up for work.”
The therapist might not have worked for all of the actors as Jared Leto has already sent some strange gifts to his fellow cast members, including a rat.
“He sent [Margot Robbie] a nice love letter with a black box with a rat in it – a live rat,” Beach said of Leto’s gift. “It was beautiful.”
Suicide Squad is released by Warner Bros on August 5, 2016.
