Taylor Swift confirmed for Radio 1’s Big Weekend

Taylor Swift has been confirmed to headline Radio 1’s Big Weekend 2015.

The radio station has also announced Norwich as the host city of this year’s event, with the festival taking place in Earlham Park on May 23 and 24.

On her appearance at the festival, Swift said: “Everyone talks about the festivals in England being the best ones you can go to. I feel like I’ve been missing out – I’m really excited.

“They are rowdy, insane, in the best way – there seems to be a lot of jumping, which I love.”

Ben Cooper, Controller of Radio 1 and 1Xtra, added: “Radio 1’s Big Weekend is the first big festival of the year. This is where summer begins and it’s going to be amazing.”
