The Future of Pop: DYRT Magazine chats with Conor Maynard

Little more than a year ago 19-year-old Conor Maynard was uploading videos of himself to YouTube, performing hits by some of his own idols.

Fast forward 12 months and this Brighton boy has taken the country by storm with the release of  ‘Can’t Say No’ followed by the equally catchy ‘Vegas Girl.’

With music heavyweights Pharell Williams and Ne-Yo collaborating, Conor released his debut album Contrast this week – which the star himself says “will be a huge surprise to most.”

DYRT sat down with Conor before his recent gig in Edinburgh to talk about his album, fame and running from a crowd of screaming girls…here’s what he had to say:
