The Vampire Diaries Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder split
The Vampire Diaries stars Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder have called time on their three year relationship.
The co-stars, who play Elena Gilbert and Damon Salvatore in the hit US show, are said to have decided to call it quits, but have vowed to continue working together as normal.
A source told Us Weekly that the pair “will continue to work together and remain best friends, which is where the relationship started.”
Nina, 24, and Ian, 34, have reportedly promised to not let their personal relationship affect their onscreen chemistry and will remain “consummate professionals.”
A publicist for Dobrev told DYRT the company does not comment on clients’ personal lives.
A representative for Somerhalder could not be reached for comment, however the green activist tweeted a cryptic message as he made his way to Brussels to discuss European growth and integration with his ISfoundation.
