Appear On The Ellen DeGeneres Show

They’ve had two number ones, three top ten singles and have gained a massive fan following since they burst onto the scene 18 months ago.

Now, The Wanted have set their sights on cracking America, getting ready for a mini promotional tour of the US..starting with an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres show a week before their opening night.

The boys jetted into Los Angeles yesterday to record the show with the comedienne which will air on Tuesday’s (today) show.

Member Max George, 23, excitedly took to his Twitter page  to announce the news and writing: ‘It’s official peeps, The Wanted are coming to the US in 2 days to perform on @TheEllenShow Monday, airing Tuesday!! Everyone come see us!!!!’

He then added another Tweet referencing the band’s summer number one single and said: ‘You better be ready @TheEllenShow .. @thewantedmusic are coming! Be glad we came!!’

Glad You Came was the second single off the group’s second album Battleground and went straight to number one on its release in July last year.

The group are already known in the US after supporting Justin Bieber at gigs in London and South America and Glad You Came which was picked up by a number of US radio stations last year.

And Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun also tweeted his delight at the news and wrote: ‘The call came in today. @thewantedmusic are coming to the US because they are wanted on @TheEllenShow for Monday airing on Tuesday. nice.’
