Transfer News: Celtic complete the signing of Nir Biton

Celtic have completed the signing of midfielder Nir Biton.

The Glasgow side will have a strengthened squad ahead of Saturday night’s transfer deadline, signing the 21-year-old on a four-year deal.

Biton will hook up with compatriot Beram Kayal and Nigeria international Efe Ambrose, who also arrived at Celtic Park from FC Ashdod.

The Israel international will be official unveiled at Celtic’s Lennoxtown training complex later  thisafternoon.

“Celtic are delighted to announce that Nir Biton has signed for the club on a four-year deal,” a statement from Celtic read.

“The talented Israeli internationalist has joined from FC Ashdod, which is also Efe Ambrose’s former club.

“The 21-year-old also joins up with fellow countryman, Beram Kayal at the home of the Scottish champions.

“And he will be looking to play his part in Celtic’s UEFA Champions League group-stage campaign against Barcelona, AC Milan and Ajax.”
