Tulisa confirms split with Danny Simpson

Tulisa Contostavlos has split with her footballer boyfriend Danny Simpson.

The singer reportedly called Premier League footballer Simpson an “asshole”, and made reference to the couple’s split to an undercover reporter working for The Sun.

“He was a fan. He was obsessed for six years. He had a massive crush on me. Finally he found somebody who knew me,” said Tulisa.

“He wasn’t a celebrity until he met me. He was a famous footballer, but not a celebrity.

“As soon as he got with me, he became a celebrity footballer. He’s not as intelligent as me. And he’s very shallow and I’m very real.”

Former X Factor judge Contostavlos reportedly said that a row over a £1,000 pair of Louboutin heels led to their split, after an angry Simpson accused her of a lack of gratitude when she threw them into a Tesco carrier bag during an argument.

She claimed he was furious and added: “He said, ‘What bird does that?’”

Tulisa said Simpson claimed that other girls he gave Louboutins showed their appreciation by performing a sex act.

She is also quoted as telling the reporter that the Newcastle United player was “used to girls that run round after and put it on for him – even sexually chase him”, adding that she doesn’t behave like that.
