Tulisa Contostavlos accepts £42.5k in damages over sex tape picture
Tulisa Contostavlos has accepted damages from a news website in relation to her leaked sex tape.
The former X Factor judge accepted £42,500 from news site TNT, who published a still photo of the former N-Dubz star from the video after it was released on the internet.
The legal costs arose after the site breached an injunction brought by the singer.
TNT took down the photo as soon as it became aware of the block, however, the image had been viewed up to 9,000 times before it was removed.
TNT was deemed to be the only mainstream publisher to post a still from the video and had encouraged others to search for the tape online.
However, the site claimed that the public would already have been made aware of the video from other coverage.
TNT later offered compensation of £42,500, which was accepted by Tulisa.
The site has since gone into administration, but its insurers are willing to pay the fee.
