Tyson Fury confirms David Haye fight
Tyson Fury has confirmed he will fight David Haye in an all-British heavyweight showdown in Manchester on September 28.
The news comes after Haye said he had signed up to fight Fury and challenged his unbeaten opponent to meet him in the ring rather than take on David Price’s conqueror Tony Thompson.
The fight, which will be rubber-stamped at a press conference on Thursday, is guaranteed to be explosive with both men able to let their fists do the talking.
Haye is a former undisputed cruiserweight world champion while he also held the WBA version of the heavyweight title before losing to Wladimir Klitschko two years ago.
He has fought just once since, beating Dereck Chisora last summer.
Fury has stormed his way through the domestic ranks and is highly ranked by both the WBC and the IBF.
