Vampire Diaries is back on ITV2: Will Elena make the transition?

The Vampire Diaries Season 4, will premier Monday on UK screens, but for those of you who just can’t wait – DYRT have hooked up a sneek peek at what’s in store in episode 1 – Growing Pains.

“I can’t be a vampire,” Elena exclaims, following which Stefan and Damon argue about what Elena wants: Stefan is firmly on Team Elena-Stays-Human, while Damon tells it straight. “We all know the drill,” he reminds Stefan, “you feed or you die.”

While Stefan, Bonnie and Jeremy seem like they’re going to be caught up in trying to save Elena, a mysterious stranger announces to Sheriff Forbes that, “We’re making our move.” We see scenes of Elena speaking at a memorial (presumably from 4×02 “Memorial”), while new vampire hunter Connor (played by Todd Williams) aims a gun at her.

“Maybe I’m better off dead,” we see Elena say, and we see her fighting her bloodlust, while Stefan tells her how much he loves her.

The Vampire Diaries season 4 premiere “Growing Pains” airs tonight at 8/7c on The CW

UK viewers will see the show return Monday night at 9 PM on ITV2
