Scots X Factor hopeful Jade Richards says she must start believing in herself
X FACTOR contender Jade Richards vowed to “start believing” in herself after getting through to the next stage of the hit ITV talent show.
She was one of around 60 acts chosen to sing at Wembley Arena in front of a 5,000-strong audience after impressing the judges at the bootcamp stage.
Other contenders who made it through were 20-year-old Lascel Wood, from Brighton, and teenager Luke Lucas, from Westgate in Kent.
Richards, from Buckhaven in Fife, said: “I’ve got to start believing in myself.”
The acts were not given time to celebrate before they got some advice from judge Louis Walsh.
The Irishman, who launched acts including Boyzone and Westlife, told them: “Congratulations on getting that little bit closer to the X Factor final.
“You’ve all worked really hard and it’s paid off, but it’s not over yet. Guys, your next challenge is you all have to learn one song and you have to make it your own.
“You’re never going to get this chance again. This is so important; the winner of the X Factor is on that stage.”
