X Factor to reveal “fifth judge” on Friday

The X Factor has teased the idea of a “fifth judge” to this year’s judging panel.

The singing competition told its Twitter followers that they will find out “who (or what) the #fifthjudge is” on Friday.

The X Factor returns for its tenth series on Saturday with Louis Walsh, Gary Barlow and Nicole Scherzinger returning to the panel alongside former judge Sharon Osbourne.

It has been reported that producers will introduce a new voting system during the live shows this year, with viewers getting 200 seconds to vote for their favourite contestants following all of the performances.

The person with the lowest number of votes would immediately be revealed and face elimination on Sunday’s show, before the lines are re-opened.

Simon Cowell has also been rumoured to be appearing after Boot Camp or during the live shows via satellite.

Osbourne recently revealed that she is “ecstatic” to be reunited with Walsh on The X Factor, which airs at 8pm on ITV this Saturday.

We at DYRT HQ think the fifth judge will be YOU – the viewers.. If we’re wrong we’ll happily eat humble music pie, but something tells us those sneaky X Factor judges have a trick up their sleeves.
