Years & Years top UK chart
Years & Years have topped the UK singles chart.
The trio topped the chart with their electro-dance track, King, knocking Ellie Goulding from the top spot.
The band, who won the BBC Sound Of 2015 poll earlier this year, achieved combined chart sales of 101,000 to take the top spot in this week’s chart.
Speaking to OfficialCharts.com, frontman Olly Alexander said: “I don’t think any of us thought we’d be Number 1. No one told us it would be Number 1. They said it wouldn’t get to Number 1, but it did!”
